A failure at the Bell CO in Toronto is causing a large number of K-Net circuits to go up and down. Connectivity seems to be up for 4 minutes and down for 1 minute. Bell has been working on the problem for a while now. So far no ETA has been established.

The SSPA at our satellite hub experience some major trouble today. We are currently running on 1 power supply (out of 3) and 3 SSPA modules (out of 8).
The outage started about 2:30PM. We are back to mostly operating condition as of 5:30PM. This is still followed by some mop up to ensure all sites are back.

The K-Net mail system is down. Anticipated time mail services will be available again is 9:30PM CST. Please note that by this time there will be a significant backlog of queued email messages. This will result in significant delays in mail delivery throughout the night.
Due to maintenance on our electrical service some of the K-Net servers lost power unexpectedly. Some mail system servers are undergoing an automated file system check. Due to the size of the mail system this has resulted in a significant delay of those servers coming back into service.

The satellite network will be subject to interference from the wandering Galaxy 15 satellite. During past weeks we have worked with Telesat to mitigate the effects of Galaxy 15 by reconfiguring our network. However, the potential of disruptions to satellite traffic on our network remains.
Here are the times of potential interference in Eastern Time:
| Date | Time 1 (EST) | Time 2 (EST) |
September 8 | 08:00 to 12:00 | 19:30 to 00:30 |
September 9 | 07:00 to 13:00 | 19:00 to 01:00 |
September 10 | 07:30 to 12:30 | 20:00 to 24:00 |
Here are the times of potential interference in Central Time:
| Date | Time 1 (CST) | Time 2 (CST) |
September 8 | 07:00 to 11:00 | 18:30 to 23:30 |
September 9 | 06:00 to 12:00 | 18:00 to 24:00 |
